부산경찰청 광역수사대는 고교 동창생 1명에게 18년간 수억 원을 뜯어낸 혐의로 44살 권모씨를 구속.
권 씨는 1998년 7월부터 올해 6월까지 고교 동창생 김 모씨로부터 모두 2천389차례에 걸쳐 8억여 원을 가로챈 혐의.
20년 가까이 진행된 권 씨의 사기 행각은 사채 때문에 교도소에 수감됐다고 거짓말을 하면서 들통.
20년 가까이 권 씨가 김 씨에게서 받은 돈은 경찰이 확인한 액수만 8억 원이지만, 김 씨가 주장하는 피해 금액은 12억∼13억 원에 달해 피해 금액은 더 늘어날 수도 있다.
권 씨는 친구에게 뜯어낸 돈으로 해외여행을 다니고 고급 아파트를 구하고, 백화점에서 돈을 많이 써 VIP 고객이 된 것으로 조사.
