5만원권 올 상반기 환수율 저조..50%에 그쳐
한국은행에 따르면 올해 1~6월 발행된 5만원권은 11조2016억8200만원이며 환수액은 5조6820억1800만원이다.
5만원권 환수율은 2014년 25.8%에서 지난해 40.1%로 오른 데 이어 올해도 상승세를 이어가고 있지만 다른 지폐와 비교할 때 5만원권 환수율은 여전히 크게 낮은 수준.
5만원권은 비자금 등의 지하경제를 조장한다는 지적이 꾸준히 제기.
한은은 지난해 국회에 제출한 국정감사 자료에서 “김영란법 제정으로 5만원권의 지하경제 유입 가능성이 더욱 줄어들 전망”이라고 밝혔다.
